The Seasons of Business

Sitting at my desk looking at bare trees, leaves rotting on the ground and feeling the chill night air, reminded me of how the Seasons slowly blend from one to another in a never ending cycle of birth, growth, maturity and death and how business follows these patterns of life and how ‘Seasons’ played and continue to play an important part in my business.

autumnLet me explain. When I first conceived the idea of providing Business Development Programs, Workshops and consultancy services it was autumn. I became aware how other aspects of my work and life were falling away and how their decay was both imminent and appropriate. I was also deeply aware of a feint but continuous calling of new life yet to be discovered.

During the winter, I spent a lot of time researching concepts I held, planning how these concepts could be brought to life and writing materials that became the Workshops I now deliver.

In the spring I communicated with people, ran my first workshops, created my first clients, created strategic alliances with other businesses that could foster mutual future growth. I refined aspects that were not working (a bit like tending to the weeds and mowing the lawn) so the garden of my business could flourish from the nurturing it received.

In summer there was lots of work in tending and nurturing the business, communicating with others and creating more beneficial relationships, but I noticed there was a lot more reaping of rewards of earlier work than had been evident in spring.

When autumn returned, I noticed a quietening in activity but at the same time a heightening in awareness of new concepts and ideas with the potential to take my business to greater levels.

The cycle had completed itself and begins again....

A Message from Anthony Turner

Hi everyone - my passion and purpose is ‘helping people achieve their best’ both in life and business.

I commenced my business career in the corporate arena where I worked my way through a variety of Sales, Management, Marketing and General Management roles, often with State, National and/or International responsibilities.

Whilst recovering from personal traumas I came to realize how the use of my business and management skills combined with life skills I had learnt from personal development programs enabled me to effectively transform my own life.

As a result, I created my own life skills and business development consultancy (Transform Your Business) which specializes in helping individuals and/or businesses achieve their best.

In my work I both use and teach many easy to learn, simple to use, highly cost effective and ethical business/marketing tools drawn from my own ‘real life’ experience and from the significant training I received in Personal Development, General Management, Marketing, Strategic Planning and OH&S.

I now hold qualifications in Management, Training & Assessment, am a registered business coach/mentor with ICF, SBMS, CoachNetwork & a ROQUE facilitator, am a Workshop/Seminar leader for Small Business Victoria and the author of Dream to Reality…connecting Heart & Business.
