The answer often is: Fear. That’s thing that keeps so many coaches and consultants stuck. They are hiding behind the website not being ready, the whatever not being finished or perfect yet because they are afraid of the response they will get when actually talking to real people who could potentially be clients for them, or not. And it hurts to get rejected. It’s easier to hide behind a website.
The truth is, it’s not a website that makes Six Figure Entrepreneurs successful. Its the willingness to stand out instead of hiding out.
The three most important things that Six Figure Entrepreneurs do differently to everybody else don’t cost any money. And they don’t cost huge amounts of time either. Don’t take these lightly though for when you don’t do these three things, you will most likely always struggle to get enough clients. Unfortunately most solopreneurs don’t do them. I can say it so bluntly because I did the same thing until I finally got real with myself and did what really needed to be done. Read on for the three things you must do in order to have your 6 figure breakthrough THIS year:
1. Make a decision on who your ideal client is and stick with it
Instead of making the decision and getting really clear about who they are serving, many solopreneurs are constantly tempted to generalise their message, to ‘cast the net wider’ in order to capture more potential clients not realising that it waters down their message so much that nobody feels spoken to in the end. Please remember: We live in the age of abundance. I met someone last weekend who is a femininity coach for transgenders and she is doing VERY well for herself. Now would you say that’s a clearly defined message?? If she can do it, you can. You must make that toughest of all decisions and get really clear who you serve. 2.Get courageous and get out there
Once you have defined a message that makes it really easy to say what it is you do, then it’s time to spread the word and to get out there in a big way. While it’s a good idea to have a facebook page etc. it’s nothing to hide behind. You need to go out and meet people in person, build relationships and get your message in front of as many people as possible. There is no better way to network than to be the speaker at an event. There is no better way to let people know about your message online than video. Yes that takes courage the first time, but just like anything, it’s worth it. Don’t get busy, get real and do what needs to be done. Here’s where it pays to have a coach or mentor how gives you the nudges and the encouragement you need to do this.
3.Actively ask for the sale
Building relationships is only part of the story, you actually need to actively lead it to the next step, your prospective clients won’t do it. BUT they will be waiting for YOU to do it.
