Tools & Resources for your Coaching Business

I've recently started using a great online tool called tungle.me to allow clients to see my availability and book their own coaching appointments online.  This works particularly well for me as it seamlessly synchronises with my Google Calendar, which synchronises with the calendar on my smart phone.

Free Webinar and Teleseminar Solutions

Written by Renee Hasseldine
Just wanted to let others know about a new free webinar tool I heard about today.  I have been using http://www.freeconferencecall.com for about a year now for teleseminars and it has been very reliable.  Callers can even dial in using local numbers from all of the following countries: Australia, Spain, France, South Africa, Nigeria, U.K., Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Romania, Czech Republic, Austria and the U.S.

Today they sent an email saying they have launched a free webinar software for up to 96 participants: http://www.freescreensharing.com

I haven't tested it yet, but thought that I would put it out there for others to have a play and comment below to let other coaches know what it's like.

Hopefully it is as reliable as freeconferencecall.com.

I'm delighted to be able to share with you an insider's method for choosing your niche that takes almost all of the emotion out of the equation. It helps you to recognise your strengths, identify where there is a demand for coaching and work out once and for all, where to focus your attention when marketing your services.

Gap Analysis Form

Written by Stephanie Vora

This document can be used as stand-alone or as a next step form looking at the visual “Wheel of Life” exercise.  You can list out all the different areas that make up your client’s life (make sure you use their terminology and not what is just on the document). The next column is the “gaps” that need to be filled in. In other words, the actions that they would like to start taking to progress forward to close the gap. Lastly, there is the desired state/goal that your client would like to achieve. Of course this model can be adapted to suit your needs.

Executive Coaching Intake Form

Written by Stephanie Vora

This document is a sample of an executive coaching intake form. This can be given to an executive coaching client before your first meeting which will then be used as a talking point or if you would rather, complete the document together during your first session. I personally find it more useful for them to fill out beforehand so that you can ask more questions around what they filled in for insights etc. You can adapt this form to suit your specific needs.

Coaching Preparation Form

Written by Stephanie Vora

This form allows you to get a high level sense of how the client has progressed in between their sessions. Ideally, this should be sent to you (the coach) within 24 hours of your next session. This document forces the client to reflect on how they have been doing, what they have learned, and acknowledging their progress since their last session. I offer this form to all my clients, but it is up to them whether they want to fill it out or not.

Free Mind Mapping Software

Written by Renee Hasseldine

I've been using a free mind mapping software for the last couple of months and it is just fantastic!  One of the ways I am using it is that I have created a strategy mind map for the CoachNetwork business, with branches for each of the business areas.  i.e. Website, Management, Customer Service, Team, Marketing, Sales & Production.  Then within each of those branches, broken down the outcomes and within those the specific action items.

Jigsaw Box

You probably trained as a coach, trainer or consultant so that you could work one-to-one with your clients to give them the best possible results. You get great results with your clients, but the problem is you’re just not getting enough of them. What do service providers such as youselves who run "successful" businesses do? They package up their expertise and they teach their clients first, then coach them to apply that knowledge to their own circumstances. But if everyone’s doing it, how can you stand out?

Take a look at the future. Take a look at JigsawBox.

Free Personality Test - Innate Index

Written by CoachNetwork Admin

Check out this newer generation five factor personality inventory called Innate Index.

It is free, generates a one-page summary based on initial norms of over 800 professionals and allows for solicitation of comments/reactions to others you might wish to share your results with.

Note: The creators are developing a 360-feedback format next and looking for some organizations to conduct a validation study to show an association between the scales and job performance (sales organizations might make the most sense).
