Setting goals and actions using Octagons

This is a technique I use with clients to help them to identify the steps they need to take to achieve the goal they have set for themselves. I like this method as it helps to cluster similar types of steps together and also allows you to move steps up and down to ensure the steps are set out in the correct order. It is also useful if the client can see where steps from different strands link together as this can also help to identify what steps are important and the order they need to be completed by.

Neurological Levels refer to a set of structures and patterns that underline our thinking regarding our behaviour and our ability to change and learn new things. This model devised by Robert Dilts one of the founders of NLP is an extremely powerful and useful tool to use when coaching clients.
